I have been going up to
upper Michigan literally for as long as I can remember, a
small boy with family having a cabin on a river just outside
Marquette, Michigan. I love to fish, enjoy a traditional
Finnish sauna, hike, pick Michigan blueberries...yummmm.
The need to visit the
Pictured Rocks about an hour east of Marquette, near Munising
hits at least once each year, 40 miles of national parks
shoreline, and here you see just a glimpse of the distant sand
dunes that stretch about seven miles of the park. These
dunes are nearly 400 feet in height. Take about 20
minutes to get/slide down to the water's edge, but will take
you one to two hours to climb back up. NOT
recommended! hahaaa...
God's country without a
doubt!! Drop dead beautiful!
