The air is crisp...chilly in the morning...warms up a bit during the day, and dips to a good chill when the sun falls behind the mountain peaks.  The light is clean...fall in the air, and a majestic bull elk sounds off...his bugling echoing down thru the mountain valleys.  Having heard it...I remember the hair near standing on the back of the neck.  The sheer joy for being in the right place at the right time to witness such a bull.
