Funny how something common to folks living in an area can leap out and smack someone not of the area upside the head.

The water systems in the NW Wisconsin area are affected by tanic acid...which I heard is caused by decay of vegetation and iron.

Whatever the cause...the warm coffee color of the water contrasted lovely against the fresh greens of spring and I just had to set up and paint!
