One of my largest plein
airs painted thus far in my painting career, that is one
painted on location. It requires no skimpin' on the
paint and bold applications with larger brushes and sure
confident direction in the orchestration of the piece.
This is one of my
favorite places to visit spring, summer or fall and is about a
half-hour's drive from my home. I think having painted
there a number of times before gave me a good sense for
thinking it was high time I did one this size. I had a
great time and what lovely color in early fall to be
celebrating in paint!
